I am a researcher specializing in Orthoptera diversity, focusing on speciation, population demography, phylogeny, and phylogeography. My work involves integrating molecular data to understand evolutionary relationships and diversification processes within this group. I am especially interested in exploring how historical events and ecological factors have shaped the genetic structure and distribution of Orthoptera species, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean and Anatolia.
Since 2017, I have been working as a research assistant at Akdeniz University in Antalya, Turkey, and I am proud to be a member of the Molecular Evolution and Biogeography Laboratory research team.
